CARMEN PIRITORE

Carmen grew up in the province of Agrigento and from her early teens began to develop a strong interest in the arts. The love for music and literature are for her a natural tendency and an indispensable research for the discovery of voices and colors that constitute her artistic formation and maturity. She grows up musically self-taught starting to play bass guitar in a rock/heavy metal band and discovers only later that she can express herself in a more sincere, free and personal way using her voice. It was during this period that she began to appreciate the stronger tones of rock and the intense nuances of Italian songwriting, discovering in music the key to meeting and sharing with diversity, which she considers a gift and richness. This path thus begins in Sicily and develops in the landing cities of Bologna and then Florence where she is fortunate to meet and feel the influence of a large number of musicians who allow her to gain experience and perform in different musical contexts such as blues, soul, R&B and electronic. In addition to being an alto in the Vocal Blue Trains family, to this day she sings in Pratergasse, a project committed to writing unreleased electronic alternative rock songs. Music aside, Carmen cultivated an interest in culture and letters, earning a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from the University of Bologna and a master's degree in economics in Design Of Sunstainable Tourism System from the University of Florence. To conclude her education, she became an environmental guide in 2019 with the goal of practicing as a guide, environmental educator and itinerary designer to rediscover nature, food, history and local culture.
