GIOVANNA RUSSO

Giovanna graduated from hotel management school as a food service worker at IPSAR Buontalenti in Florence. Her passion for music and artistic growth began at a very young age, thanks to her singing mother and guitarist and singer father. As a child, she spent her afternoons listening to vinyl records of Michael Jackson, Lucio Battisti, Beatles and many other artists, which helped to increase her musical awareness and passion. She thus began in 2006 to sing in many Florentine clubs, performing live with different ensembles and at the same time studying modern and choral singing with vocal coach Laura Landi, a famous Florentine singer.

In 2010 she toured Italy with the unreleased musical Amori e Gelosie as a singer, actress and dancer. From 2011 to 2013 she was the female vocalist of the progressive metal band Armantika. She joined Vocal Blue Trains as an alto in 2015 and in 2018 became a mother to Zoe Satomi.

She currently continues her musical profession as a lead singer at numerous public and private live events. In addition to music, she loves plant-based cooking, Italian singer-songwriting, sports, and the love of small things. She is a vegetarian and a practitioner of Soka Gakkai Buddhism. In 2020 she embarked on an unreleased songwriting project.
