LUCIA AGOSTINO

Lucia began studying piano at the age of 6, a study she would complete with a lower diploma in piano at the "Luigi Boccherini" Institute in Lucca. She then began to study opera singing with soprano Nadia Vignaga and modern singing with Mauro Nugnes at "Artestudiolab".

She graduated in 2014 from BSMT (Bernstein School of Musical Theater) in Bologna, a national academy of musicals under the direction of Shawna Farrell. She was shortlisted as one of the academy's best singers, thus joining the choir of the BSMT Singers with whom she performed from 2012 to 2014 in numerous musical-themed concerts.

From 2012 to 2014 she took part in numerous musicals: "Les Miserables" at the Bologna Municipal Theater, "Sweeney Todd" (in the role of Mrs. Lovett), "Into the woods" directed by Mauro Simone, "City of Angels", "Wild Party" directed by Shawna Farrell and choreographed by Gillian Bruce, "Love Story", "RagTime" at the Bologna Municipal Theater, "Parsifal" at the Bologna Municipal Theater directed by Romeo Castellucci, "Next to Normal" (in the role of Natalie) directed by Saverio Marconi and with musical direction by Shawna Farrell, a show in which she also took on the role of musical assistant. She participates in internships with some of Italy's top performers, including Francesca Taverni, Davide Calabrese, Mauro Simone, Gillian Bruce, Nathan Martin and vocal coaches from London's West End such as Anne Mary Speed, Mary Shelley and Paul Ferrington. After graduating, she perfected her tap study with Andrea Mugnai and in 2015 she attended the singing course at the National Jazz Academy in Siena. Since 2014 she has been collaborating with Sert at the Sollicciano Prison in Florence, where she personally runs music workshops aimed at inmates. In 2018 she obtained a master's degree in High Musical Training at BSMT, at the end of which she participated in the musical "Company" under the direction of Saverio Marconi. Lucia works as an actress at the Dante Theater in Campi Bisenzio and in 2019 she played the part of Lucia Annibali in the show "Io ci sono."

She is currently a member of the female vocal trio with live band "Le Signorine - Italian vocal trio", which in late 2019 left to tour Italy with the show "Balocchi e Carbone". She teaches singing at the PlayLoud music school and at the 4quarti school in Florence, where she leads a choral singing workshop for adults. She attends the stunt course at the Azure Italia Academy and has been a mezzo-soprano in Vocal Blue Trains since 2015.
