SOFIA GORI

Sofia began to mature her musical passion at the age of 17 and it was at this age that her passion for singing exploded, "kicking off" her artistic career. Self-taught until then, she decided to enroll in a singing and vocal technique course with teacher Filomena Menna in Florence, a course that proved decisive for her musical and singing path.

She studied 4 years with the latter and, after graduating, decided in 2011 to perfect her studies by attending the "Vocal Power Academy" in Los Angeles, California for 3 months. There she takes private lessons in vocal technique and improvisation with the same director and founder of the method, teacher Elisabeth Howard, vocal coach at the 2007 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles of singer Sting and teacher of distinguished artists in the international music scene, such as the Police and Lionel Ritchie.

On the strength of this experience, which also led her to perform in various venues in Los Angeles, she returned to Italy and took part in various funk, rock-blues and soul music projects. In 2011 she participates, winning the 1st prize, in the singing competition "Nuovi Talenti Valdarno". She also studied modern piano for 4 years with maestro Lele Fontana.

Member of Vocal Blue Trains since the project's inception in 2014 as contralto, between 2018 and 2019 she recorded in the studio the backing vocals for 2 unreleased songs by Cristiano Malgioglio and for the entire album "Love and Peace" by Maurizio Vandelli and Shel Shapiro. Currently, in addition to music, she runs an office dealing with agriculture and is mom to a beautiful baby boy named Rocco.
