STEFANO SILANO
He approached the world of music at the age of 8, studying as a private student, undertaking classical piano, music theory and spoken solfege. During his teens he discovered a passion for ragtime and the study of stride piano, participating in festivals and competitions dedicated to the study of composers such as Scott Joplin and Jelly Roll Morton, and other exponents of early 20th century African American music.
After completing his classical studies, he approached the world of black music under the guidance of M° Maurizio Spampani, with whom he deepened the main techniques of jazz, blues, funk accompaniment for piano, keyboards and Hammond organ.
From the age of 18 he began working as a pianist and keyboardist, collaborating with artists such as Luca Colombo and Andrea Agresti, and actively participating in the Moondance Band project. He has also collaborated in various projects and bands of the Tuscan and Florentine scene, including Forever Seventy and Ciao Guagliò (tribute to Pino Daniele). Since 2018 he has been a member of Vocal Blue Trains.
